Havaianas Craze is Still On!

Are you ready for summer yet? Oh well, winter isn’t officially over just yet and here I am, daydreaming about the beach and the chance to wear those flip flops once again. Speaking of which, when I came here in my homeland the Philippines, my mom have been bugging me about getting her a pair of Havaianas sandals. What the heck is this craze all about? If you’re into flip flops and sandals, you must know the must-haves in Hav’s, although Crocs is invading the footwear world this year following it and the other previously popular names in slippers in this country anyway. It seems as if the ordinary pair of Spartan slippers that used to be so informal when worn in special occasions or places such as going to church and parties is now acceptable to many so long as it spells Havaianas on it. So, I did grant my mom her wish because it’s what many women are now wearing. At first I was hesitant whether it’s worth the price tag.

I know Havaianas a long time ago which I wasn’t that much interested before or enticed to wear a pair, until I just bought a pair for me, for my sister and for my beloved son who isn’t even walking all by himself just yet. LOL. I know it is a good name and they make them sandals durably. I just didn’t see myself getting all excited to get one myself and now I look forward to owning some more like those sold-out Slim style in our favorite mall in the city. I can’t wait to get back home to order them online for the summer. Perhaps they will inspire me to get out and take a walk more often which is better for me. Boo Hoo! Look what fad is doing to someone like me and for those who are avid collectors of Hav’s! One good advice though, if you live in the US and presently on vacation in the Philippines and wanting to collect Havaianas, you better indulge this passion by getting most of your favorite styles here which may save you some money. I have checked online and compared prices between these two countries and I would say it’s cheaper here in the Philippines. That’s my opinion.
